Introduction
The Membership of the Class of 1979 in made up of individual who overcame several challenges to become successful in the fields of their choice. We overcame Immigration laws, parents who were unprepared steer us into the changing future and have to dodge traditions to set a new course. We did leave our marks. The dents we made are on the seven continents. We are sailors both military and civilian, doctors, lawyers, clergy men and women, nurses and other helping professionals. We have perfected the arts, culinary, music and creative just name a few. Many of us are in finance, and don’t forget the engineering and the host of administrators. We have made a difference. Therefore, It seems natural for us to make obtaining a higher education a priority for the next generation. With that said, the class is very passionate about granting scholarships to students who show potential but have been overlooked, because they are average like most of the class. The Scholarship fund is financed by the fundraising efforts of the unstoppable members of the class.as a result, our award is based on the annualdecision of the leadership committee.
