
Marie Henry is a talented attorney with demonstrated project, risk management and corporate governance skills. An accomplished leader, she has managed a Billion-dollar portfolio of Workers’ Compensation Claims and successfully supervised high performing teams. While in high school she was the Treasurer of VICA. And she was the proud recipient of the Albert Ragster Sr. Scholarship. An avid lover of nature and the environment, in high school she entered a contest on “what would you do to keep St. Croix Beautiful.” She won. A proud member of the CHS Class of 1979, she relocated to Charlotte, NC after graduation and became a freshman at Fayetteville State University in the fall of 1979.

While in college, she enlisted in the United States Army Reserves as a Dental Specialist. She served 6 years. In 1983 she graduated from Fayetteville State University with honorary distinction with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing. After graduation she found her first career position as a Commercial Lines Underwriter with the St. Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Company. She migrated from Underwriting to Workers’ Compensation claims and remained in that field until graduation from law school in 2008. Fulfilling, a life-long dream, Marie started law school in the Fallof 2005 and graduated in the top 25% of her class in 2008 from Barry University, Dwayne Andreas College of Law.

After law school she took on the role of Staff Counsel where she provided corporate governance and compliance with the Medicare-Medicaid Secondary Payer Law and other derivative federal law.
In 2013, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of taking her 16- year old daughter to Paris for her birthday. It was an exhilarating experience. One of her most fulfilling endeavors is serving on the Board of a school for children with learning and development disabilities. Marie lives in Central Florida with her two children and her red-nosed Pit Bull, Kilo.
