Reunion Reflections

The 40th HS Reunion event was exhilarating, refreshing, retrospective, humbling, thankful & awesome all at the same time. Again would like to thank all who worked tirelessly & our classmates who participated in this splendid journey.

Jasmine, Evelyn, and the Executive committee, thanks for the best time ever. You all did an exceptional job pulling this CHS 40th Anniversary celebration together. Everything was exceptional and done with presidential excellence. You guys are the best. Let’s do this again real soon. Also if there is a need, let me know how I can help financially. If any of you ever make to Denver, you have a place to stay and a car to drive.  I love all my 79ers.

P.S My waist still hurts from all that dancing.

Felix

I awant to acknowledge Claudia Thomas Graham for the wonderful cakes she made for the masquerade ball. The Vienna and Chocolate cake were simply divine. Claudia also baked continuously for our bake sale fundraisers. I thank God for giving her this baking talent among all the ones she has.

Thank you, Claudia,!

I would be remiss not to mention @Dorothy Browne who did the individual carrot cakes for the masquerade ball and who also was a faithful contributor to our bake sale fundraisers.

Finally Lucy Xavier did the assorted cookies in your gift bag, and she also contributed to our sales.

May God continue to bless these hands. I appreciate you ladies! Stay blessed. Thank you.

Evelyn

It was indeed an honor to be amongst some of the most distinguished individuals hailing from the iconic Central High School Class of 1979. Although my graduation took place at Mt. View High in California in 1979 my heart will always belong at home “CHS”. Thanks for embracing me and allowing me to be a part of this memorable occasion. Special thanks to Paula for hauling me in by my ear ??, to Jasmin and Evelyn for your outstanding leadership and to the organizing committees for your sacrifice, hard work and dedication. To the entire class of 79, God richest blessings. Finally to our off island class mates, safe journey and it was a pleasure hosting you, your spouses and friends. ??

Classmates, this morning, as I reflect on our activities of this past week, which culminated with an amazing masquerade ball last night, I want to say thank you. Thank you to the team, who painstakingly planned every event which was so well organized. Thank you for every classmate who contributed in anyway financially to help make it all possible.

As we each go our separate way, let’s not say goodbye, bu so long. Let us continue our meet and greets locally and wherever we are clustered across the US mainland.

We still have work to do, so exhale and get ready to be on the move. Ain’t no stopping us now !

Arline

Special thanks for everyone who participated in one way or another. Many were instrumental in helping us reach our fundraising goals who were unable to attend the reunion events. We really appreciate your commitment to the scholarship and legacy funds.

Thank God for the hard-working people like Zoey; Dorothy, Marcelino and his son Miles, Ms. Ellie, Sonsirez, and Kyla. We could not have done it without your help to decorate the props for the ball. To Vernamea for hours of work behind the scene keeping up with the finances and sourcing the treats in the bags.

I have always prayed for God to send helpers. However, I didn’t pray for encouragers. As usual he knows just what we need. So, all those who called, to encourage me, helped to keep me focused and to block out the negative voices. Thank you very much.

May God bless each one of you and your families.
