Here it comes…the greatest festival/celebration of Christianity.  Many want to argue that Christmas is. The reason often championed is that if Jesus was not born, then He could not have risen from the dead. As logical as this may appear on the surface, it pales in comparison to the significance of the resurrection. If there was no resurrection, then we have no victory as believers. Paul writes about the necessity and significance of the resurrection in very clear and sobering terms. 14 AndifChristhas not been raised, our preachingis worthless, andso isyourfaith. 15 In that case, we are also exposed as false witnesses about God. For we have testified about God that He raised Christ from the dead, (1 Cor. 15:14, 15a).

God’s plan of salvation is cohesive. The cradle , the cross and the empty tomb are all part of this glorious plan of redemption. Consider, however, the fact that many persons were born in lowly conditions. Many persons were executed on crosses (crucified). A few persons were raised from the dead, but only one person rose from the dead never to die again.

The message of the resurrection is evident in the lives of those who have trusted the risen Christ as their Savior. In fact, it is more than a message. Faith in the resurrected Christ is the key to the gospel which is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes.

As we celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord, let us purpose to demonstrate that resurrection light and life are working in and through our lives. The rising generation needs to witness this mighty power and follow us as we follow Christ!

Blessings always,
